For those still willing to part with their money, at least have a look at BBB, which gives Nu Renovations an F. Many people are out tens of thousands of $$$ for projects that never went much of anywhere. He's been charged, he's lost civil lawsuits. It's been in the news, he's a scammer. You've been warned. This contractor took $10000 from us and only worked for one week in total. For $10000 we have only about 50% of the framing completed.

Thought I would come back one more time to see if there were any more braniac comments made by un named people as usual as it seems and low and behold yet another ridiculous comment made people have obviously got nothing better to do. This is the last time I use this site for any type of reference to an individual. There are some weird individuals out there and some just very spiteful as I read further down the comments. Get on with your life people and let it rest. You can't keep everyone happy these days. I also did some checking, and this guy Nigel was not criminally charged and he didn't plea to any criminal charges, he had the proper city licenses and proper insurance and Workers comp, he just did not have what is called aprovincial license and so what not to many business in Edmonton actually have this provincial license either. So what is the big deal? And it was easy to find out how much he owes to people which is less than $32,000 dollars not $71,000 like it was printed in the newspaper that was a big typo on their part. If you want us to do our home work FYI then there I did it and found the opposite of what all of you were saying on this site. Go figure, who tells the truth these days? no one on this site. I don't know if I would hire this company but it was only a civil case that he was involved in like so many other people in Edmonton that I really don't have an opinion about this guy. Maybe he deserves a break or some good luck for a change like the rest of us, we all make mistakes. Sorry about everybody elses luck I guess.

Post 3: Do you know how long it took to get the work done after I fired him Mr. Tinley?? The floors were installed less than 5 days after I picked them out. The countertop was installed in a day after they took the measurements and cut them to fit in Calgary. HOW LONG DID I GIVE NIGEL RYDER BEFORE I FIRED HIM??? He agreed to the work and was paid in or around April 2010 (he can look up the exact date)… I fired him on November 3 2010 WHEN HE LIED ABOUT HIS CHILD DYING IN A CAR ACCIDENT. Where is your comment on that? This wasn’t the first lie we caught him in and it CERTAINLY isn’t the only one…. The RCMP investigator said that ALL of the victims kept amazing files… I certainly did, including the emails from him directly after I fired him telling me that I was “rude”, “selfishness” (sic) and “unthoughtful”(sic) for ending the project while we were SO CLOSE and that I was not considering the “last couple of weeks that I have had personally”. I love that you can post here, calling me liar and accusing me of not being honest… Who has my money? Who uses the death of their children like the punch line of a joke? Who wants to keep this in the civil courts where he happily, and often loses judgements knowing he would never pay them back, and hasn’t paid? Am I lying Mr. Tinley?? Call me a liar again and I will personally spend the money on a lawyer to get the IP addresses of those, who I think are not who they say they are, posting here… we can and will put these in the hands of those who will take action… and it isn’t going to be civil. I do want to add one last thing… yeah, Nigel Ryder did install a premade pantry door, a doorbell and after MONTHS hired a 3rd party to paint (did a lovely job… much better than Nigel ever did)… Did he mention when is he planning on paying Don the painter anyways?
