TRUTH
I would just like to pass on a tip for anyone reading these.... For those of you (Nigel or Ulanda) writing good reviews claiming to be random people.... stop. Its annoying. Anyone who wants to get an idea of what Nigel does...... check out his court apearence with the 5 counts of fraud in April. or the postings in the Edmonton journal warning people not to trust him which was submited by the government.... then make your own decision. To the rest of us writing the REAL reviews: Hes almost locked up good job!!!!!

Post 2: Since, upon posting this Mr. Tinley, I have to agree to the terms and conditions of this website (read the small print next to the check box which includes recording the IP address you are posting from) I will be telling the whole truth or I face consequences (maybe you might want to consider that yourself, Mr. Tinley): I did hire Nigel to do my master bathroom first… I hired my own plumbers and electricians and bought most of the expensive items myself. Nigel framed, tiled, did the countertop, painted (poorly) and finished the room. We didn’t have to call him back… because with all the delays due to personal issues it took forever, and it was like he never really left (when he did bother to show up). We asked him to finish the on-suite and he said he could with fewer delays. Why bring him back? Perhaps it’s because I trusted that the delays weren’t some tactic or that they were uncommon, or perhaps I even considered that the trades I brought in somehow delayed the work… but then, they were always waiting, for him… so maybe I thought it was the devil I know… or maybe I’m just a trusting fool.. it’s hard to say. BEFORE he finished the 2nd bathroom we talked about the walls in the main part of the house, the pantry door in the kitchen (I never mentioned a doorbell), installing manufactured flooring, installing countertops in the kitchen, replacing the backsplash, and handles. We were told that it was a simple piece of work since most of it was all manufactured and installed easily… 3 weeks. We asked if he was busy… he wasn’t. We asked if he could really have it done in 3-4 weeks… he said he could. We even stressed this as the delays for the bathrooms were far too long by our standards… but what did we know… he was our first (and last) contractor.

I was taken for about $20,000+ and for that I got a pantry door, door bell and painting by a 3rd party who was not paid by Nigel Ryder of Nu Renovations even after taking him to court. A warning was released by Service Alberta naming both Nigel Ryder and his company Nu Renovations that is based here in Edmonton. The warning states that he has been charged but may still be taking money upfront without a license.

I am glad you responded Mr. Paquin to expain yourself further but you need to understand others side when the only other remaining comment that is bad on here and signed by someone is yourself and know one else. Regarding the companies WBC coverage, I know for a fact that they were insured at the time they were employed by our family, as for now, I don't know, it may possibly have changed since all that has taken place in the last couple months. as for the emails sent to you pertaining to his kids, I can't see why anyone would send you these types of emails unless they were true, if not then why send them. Besides there is no way to prove that they were sent by this company and for all anyone know's you could have written them yourself to incriminate him further, I am not saying you did or not but seeing that you have this much of a vindictive attitude at this time according to your responses, there is no way to prove anything which i have had past experience with while at work and you said earier that his wife sent the email and now you say it was the owner himself. I am kind of wondering if this company even knows you have listed this type of discriminatory information on this site in reference to what he has alledgedly done to you and others. I would like to here both sides before making any judgement which i only think is fair to anyone directly involved, not that it is any of my business really would you not agree? seeing that I am this close to retirement in the next few years I really don't want to be involved in any malicious dispute between anyone for my families sake so I will end our discussion here. One of my family memebers had mentioned this site to my wife and I then checked it out for myself. That is all. Nurenovations did a great job for us so I will stand by what I had said in my previous response, though will wish you good health and hopefully a more prosperous day tomorrow. Clark.
