The European artisanship, which is the premise of the Glenncarey mission, is in its third generation. It also spawned the restoration services, which the company has grown into over the last 15 years. Today the Glenncarey Group serves the Greater Toronto Area, York, Peel and Durham regions. The company quickly became one of the premier upholstery services in the Toronto area. A cleaning service for carpet and upholstery was added in 1982. —commercial carpet, upholstery, and hard surface flooring. Coming to Canada in 1952 from the Netherlands, Hank Vermeulen named the business after his first two sons, and later incorporated as Glenncarey Custom Upholstering Inc. It remains a leader in both Durham and York regions and is known for it's expertise in the specialty cleaning of fine carpets and upholstery
