Very Unsatisfied

When someone asks you for help and you do it to help a man with his paint biz - A loan of 4900$ to pay his workers - You do it for him saying pay me back when you can no interest. This what i had done for the owner of allied painting,. Many times over the years i asked about the loan and what did i get - NOTHING! - Well - not nothing a plain and simple - I will not pay you back anything - So there you have it ALLIED PAINTING!

Get a detailed quote; any discussions follow up in writing. Had allied paint the upper level of townhouse and renos / improvements on the lower level. Issues with upper level: did not put 50% of face plates on light switches and electrical outlets; I ended up doing this myself. Lost the screws for the towel bars and the mirror in master bath; he said the owner did not have the mirror screwed on the wall! It was screwed on at time of home inspection. Did replace the two towel bars; the one in the master bath fell off the wall after first use because he did not attach it properly to the wall. Did not paint behind the fridge nor the stove. Did not use appropriate type of paint for bathrooms and kitchen. Said he painted the doors / closet doors; but the dirt mark that was there before he painted was still there after he painted!! I was the individual that ended up cleaning up the construction debris / dust. He trimmed around the master bath sink and threw the trimmings into the sink. Broke the kitchen sink; blamed it on his crew; and then refused to replace it, so i had to. Issues with lower level: We always discussed 16 lights on lower floor of townhouse; but he had electrician install 14 at some point in the future will have to be redone as lighting is so poor. His electrician left an uncapped live wire in the laundry area; had to have another electrician rectify this. Took the panel of the electrical box; had to have another electrician rectify this. I was the individual to clean up the sawdust in the laundry area where he cut the wood to build wall to enclose laundry area. Had to buy a shop vac to do this. He was too cheap to buy his own filters for his shop vac so he used mine and clogged it up. Installed one of the pocket doors backwards. Office space was not properly finished. Storage under the stairs was to have a light switch.. only thing i mentioned and he had the electrician install a pull string. Door to storage under the stairs was not installed properly so now it is warped and does not close properly. At some point will need to be replaced. While i was not home he come into my personal living space and helped himself to my tea towel as he needed a rag to clean the glue off the floor. Said he would replace the tea towel; never did. But not really about the cost of a tea towel but more so that he has no issue with going into someones personal space and taking their stuff. He could have texted me and asked where the rags where or better yet... come prepared to do the job. My garlic press is also missing. Had a shelving unit in the garage which his crew used a couple of the boards during renos of the lower level at the end of the reno one of the boards was missing. I know this board was there because upon initial inspection of the townhouse before i even bought it i noticed it was not properly set on the shelf. the top bracket was not put together properly. it was on my list of things to correct. Plus before i mentioned anything to Paul i went looking to see where the two boards were to. I would never have mentioned it to him if i was not 100% certain it was not there. He said to ask the previous owner where it was. His crew left their cigarette butts outside my garage door on the ground. He said he would have them clean it up; i ended up doing it. His crew dumped their lunch garbage on the side of the road in front of my place. I had to scrub the paint of the floor a couple of times and off my office furniture. I could go on and on and on. Save yourself the headache and find a competent professional to get the job done. A lot of my project will have to be redone at some point in the future; you wont have to continuously pick/clean up after him and his crew; and dont let him into your personal living space.
