Our Four Villages Community Health Centre Dundas Site opened its doors to the CHC public in January 2010, offering a community kitchen, program and meeting space. The tower renewal phase for our community economic development "Green Phoenix" project is complete. The project is under construction. Our 40 Oaks project for TCRC, now under construction, is located in Regent Park at 40 Oak Street, and will provide 87 units of affordable housing with a ground floor community hub and worship space. West Hill Community Service's The Hub - mid Scarborough, the design very first United Way-funded Community Hub, opened on January 19, 2010. Our 68 unit affordable housing project for YWCA Toronto was completed and occupied in September architecture 2007. Sustainable design The project provides a range of programs and services under one roof—including community health and dental services, career planning and employment counselling, addiction and mental health services, as well as diabetes education, health promotion and services for seniors. The project received a City of Toronto Award of Excellence as a finalist in architect the 2007 Green Toronto Awards. The project includes a child care centre for 62 children. society. Our YWCA Elm Centre project provides 300 units of affordable and supportive homelessness housing, as well as the new head office of YWCA Toronto. This project, for which we have teamed up with regionalArchitects, allies three of our clients: YWCA Toronto, Wigwamen Inc., and The Jean Tweed Centre, healthcare together in the development. The project features radiant heating and cooling combined with a large geoexchange well field with ground source heat consultation pumps, and an energy recovery ventilation system
