We have literally had 200 problems with our home in 2.5 years now. This is a $600,000 home just an FYI, Joe Hadi builds terrible homes. Our doors and windows are all garbage, they use Sunview windows (out of London, also called Newco) the casement windows cranks failed frequently, the latch lock never aligns when opening or closing the windows. it either remains unlocked or can't open the windows at all. Our front doors continue to leak water from the poorly designed door sill ( this company is the only door company that uses this sill system) we have high end walnut hardwood flooring throughout the house that squeak constantly Because the installer did not use enough nails when installing. The framing was all toe nailed and could not have been done any worse. Drywall and Paint trades did a horrible finish job. Our brick maison did a lousy finish as well, lots of missing mortar areas, gapping that was uneven, just sloppy. My sump pump room has mould on the OSD board they installed on the ceiling. Staircase was installed wrong and actually sticks out into hallway traffic area. Our master bedroom ceiling fan is not in the middle of the tray ceiling it's offset by 2 feet. The interior doors and baseboards trim were painted the wrong colour of white and demanded we pay $3000 extra to repaint. Our largest picture window ( 6 feet wide by 6.5ft tall) had a spontaneous crack and no warranty was provided in the first year. That costed $1800 out of my pocket to fix. My front doors needed replacing due to water leaking into the basement and the builder jerked me around for 1.5 years until tarion took over the case and only provided me with 60% of the cost to replace the doors and I had to pay the rest. Even though the doors leaked since the 3rd month I owned the house with a full warranty. The builder also installed one of my basement windows upside down and the drains were on the top instead of the bottom so every rain storm had water go into my basement and his repair solution was to manually drill new drain holes, when I wasn't home and I never approved this idea. It took me over a year to get a new window to completely replace this hack and whack repair he did and it wasn't a new window, he pulled this window out of another home and it doesn't match my other windows. My upstairs spare room is noticeably colder in the winter and hot all summer, I'm assuming the attic insulation and sealing was not done properly. I've had even more problems than this but I think you get the point. Please DO NOT Build a new home with Joe Hadi. Worst experience of my life.
