Nick is often asked to make decorative design elements for those wanting to mix old and new styles. Nick's most popular request...to design and build a floating style mantle piece shelf...the one in his living room compliments both his rustic sense of design and, his warm personality. Our refinishing, restoration and repair service is second to none. We can retro-fit and re-modify older items to suit new spaces and new uses. He takes simple distressed planks and transforms them into charming architectural elements such as ceiling beams and full mantle pieces which add that wow factor and anchor any room. Is well honed and, beyond his years. Thorough and complete stripping; our expert repair and restoration services are provided here on site. His mother Line, is the color specialist and an integral part of furniture manufacturing process. Nick's expertise and woodworking skills are tested regularly on, and off the job. In his spare time, he enjoys restoring his country home situated in picturesque Constance Bay; like most renovators, Nick especially loves the results attained from all of the hard work involved in restoring an older home. Nick Gendron is an Artisan. He is a member of an amazing team of craftpersons at Gendron's. And, he is the prodigal son of a seasoned dealer and, Canadiana Antiques Expert, Mark Gendron. Nick's innate understanding of woods-their particular characteristics such as grain, density, variant shrinkage etc. Their weathered surfaces and imperfections add character and warmth especially when trying to design a room using the idea of mixing old and new together. Both parents have contributed to this young man's sense of history, design, style and, his pride of craftsmanship. Solution Partner's ASP.NET Hierarchical Menu (v1.7.2.0) - http://www.solpart.com. Nick has constructed hundreds of solid wood reproductions for his parent's emporium, Gendron Antiques and Reproductions also known as “The Big Red Barn” in Stittsville, Ottawa. Mark Gendron, Nick's dad, begins the furniture design process with precise drawings and dimensions...Nick follows through with the build to exacting detail. Nick loves working with the time-worn and rough hand-hewn wooden planks that have been reclaimed from old barns.
