In full agreement with every negative comment made. All of those issues were experienced. An unsatisfactory experience that started well until the contract was signed. Time lines were never met. Budget was blown out of the water because of items not included in the budget lines. Very stressful experience. They work for themselves, not the client. As project managers it's ironic that they print time lines but claim they have no control of the trades. They don't understand the concept of critical path in project management. Communication was weak and we were managing a good part of the project ourselves because they refused to finish their responsibilities. It's interesting that they will comment on how unreasonable some of their clients are. In hind site, there were many red flags that appeared In Preliminary discussions that we ignored. If one is considering using them, be sure that there are financial penalties written into their contract if evergreen cannot meet their deadlines or costs. We learned an expensive lesson here. If we were to do it again, we would not use evergreen.

We hired Evergreen Concepts to custom design and build our dream home in South Frontenac. We appreciated the no nonsense, realistic approach regarding our budget and what we could afford. Our home was specifically designed for our site and our budget and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Agree fully with all negative comments. Just wish we would have seen this site before chosing evergreen concepts. Helpful till they got all your monies. Once last check was given, even before anything had started, no shell, nothing, that was the last communication we had with him & his wife, until we complained. Had a project manager..,what a joke. Budget was not met...timeline was way out of whack. Why pay this man to do this & it is never followed? On most trade contracts they provided us with, states that this is binding & no changes (work or money) can be made without the consent of project manager AND owners on SITE. Changes were made but without our consent. This is where extra money came into play. And was never told, only just a day before invoice was being sent..& it doubled. So unprofessional. Many of these issues or money, work not done properly, project manager not doing his job, we brought to their attention & they never owned anything & blamed all on us, the clients. A good business man would have said, ok, what can we do to make these clients happy...but no. Our shell package was incomplete at one end of home..when questioned, was told it was not in your package & we can have it done, if we want to pay more money. That was such an unbelievable response. When work was not done or incomplete we would ask over & over till we would either insist or we did the work ourselves. Project manager said work was always complete. Such a joke. We spent more money on our build than we even budgeted. ( we gave extra in our budget but he blew that too) One other thing, we not only think unprofessional, but extremely rude when u have the owners telling you about other clients who are the worst they ever had in 30 plus years of business. None of our business at all. Good business eh! If anyone is considering using Evergreen, our advice is insert clauses into contract that protects the clients from major delays other than weather, & compensation if the budget is blown way above what was set. (With continuance) Move forward only once you are totally satisfied you are protected. Better still, find another company.

All the previous negative comments are very true and were all experienced by us too. Once they have your $$$... your buggered. Poor quality doors, windows, package delivery timing errors and a horrible owner to deal with. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! Go to a reliable contractor with evergreens initial sales plans, have the contractor modify the building and use his suppliers. You will save 30k over this incompetent organization by doing so and get project management included. This company can't project manage building a shoe box! Love our home, over paid.... will never recommend this company. Do not deal with the owner... talk to his wife if you have too. Less stress. This was the most stressful project of our lives... this company will make it 10x worse and many many hidden costs and overruns.

I hired Evergreen Concepts to custom design my lakefront home. From their cost effective approach to design to their full turn key services, I couldn't be happier with the results. Thank you to all the team and support staff, especially to Roxanne and Bill, you guys are great. We now have a special place to share many happy memories with family and friends
