Falltech Logging Ltd. The business has continued to grow and diversify and in 2000 Copcan opened Jameson Quarry in Nanaimo, Vancouver Island. With safety at the forefront of our operations, FallTech Logging’s objective is to deliver the safest, greatest total value to our customers making them more productive, competitive and profitable. Was created in 2002 when a partnership was formed between Gregson Holdings and Don Banasky Logging Consultants. To this day, Bryan remains very active in the operation and maintenance of the company’s fleet of equipment and vehicles. Awarded 1st Place by Ministry of Transportation and BC Road Builders Association for “Excellence in Grading” on the Highway 12, Lytton BC Curb & Gutter Project. Copcan continues to develop as a company in all areas and in 2007 Northwest Bay Quarry in Nanoose, Vancouver Island was opened, offering gravel pit and quarry products for sale to the public. “finalist” by Ministry of Transportation and BC Road Builders Association for “Excellence in Grading” on the Highway 97, Eckhardt/Railway Intersection, Penticton, BC Project. Falltech Logging’s focus on technology in the forest industry is reinforced by our specialization in a Mechanical Log Harvesting Systems which includes Mechanical Falling/Bunching, Mechanical Log Processing and Mechanical Yarding, i.e. Copcan’s involvement and commitment to giving back to the community has been ongoing through the years. The natural progression was bridge construction and repair work with the first combined effort successfully completed in 2004. Similar projects continue until the present time both in BC & Yukon. Bryan continues to be actively involved in the Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprenticeship Program at the Vancouver Island University. Our forestry operations run 7 days a week/24 hours a day and are supported by a motivated knowledgeable staff. With strong leadership and a vision, the Gregson family, has created a company that employs upwards of 150 people during peak seasons and has retained it’s reputation as a company that can complete projects “on time” and “on budget” to the highest quality. In 2001, Highway and Municipal Infrastructure services were added. The Gregson family has been road building and land clearing in British Columbia for more than 30 years. This partnership complimented the company’s current expansion into the forest industry. It was essential to the rapid growth of the company to assemble a qualified management team, which includes Bryan’s two sons Dave & John, as well as key operation managers, locally and in the field. Formed in 1985, The name COPCAN was derived from "Copper Canyon" the location of the first project undertaken by the new company.
