From here we were taught to apply various types of paints to these surfaces The paints we used were water based acrylics and latexes, oil based base coats and top coats including eggshell, gloss, enamel also various stains and varnishes. These were all applied using different methods of application, everything from spray painting, roller work, brush work right through to specialist paint effects such as rag rolling, colour washing, stippling and sponging.
