Thank you. . I come from Canmore, Alberta. I've had the benefit of lots of left over tools from my father and grandfather, who had been a carpenter from England. With a 20-year collection of "Fine Woodworking" magazines, a wall full of books and manuals, and a generous amount of engineering intuition, I am mostly self-taught with regard to woodworking. But, we plug along, mostly because I love the work! I've been full time carpenter and furniture maker since 2000. The heady boom times of the late 70's & early 80's ended with the National Energy Program (NEP) in 1982 and for my new bride Debbie and I, it was time for break. Although many say that experience is the best teacher, I can assure you she is sometimes pretty slow. Take a look around and let me know what you think. I'm a furniture maker and this site is about making the very best. After returning from Africa, we had 2 children, Debbie got her law degree, we moved 4 times, and I sold real estate for about longer than I should have.
