I packed and stored all the items in my 3 bedroom home with Econo Moving and Storage in late 2009. I was moving overseas for 2 years so everything I owned was put into storage not only mine but everything belonging to my 2 children. As we were moving to the Caribbean we also left all our clothes. I was present at the time of the moving and watched the 2 men from the company move all the items. I personally packed up the entire house. The only part of the process I was not privy to were the items getting to the storage unit. I returned this Oct 2011 and requested my storage items be moved to my new home. Upon receiving and unpacking I realized a third of our household items were missing. These were not small items, my business files of 6 years, our entire garage, sporting equipment, children's toys, all our clothes, desk, lamps, kitchen and bath ware, even our cleaning supplies were gone. I received all my big furniture like couches and beds but all our living items were gone. I contacted the company immediately, who were courteous and advised they would look. I followed up twice by phone and another time by email. They themselves concurred that the 2 crates they delivered could not have held the contents of a 3 bedroom home. However, they came back to say, that was all I had and they looked and could not find my goods. I have nothing to gain from this but everything to lose. Money cannot replace my children's schoolwork and toys nor can it retrieve my lost business files, or even years of accumulated memories. Please be careful using them, they are nice people but go for a large reputable firm, I have been berating myself for months now. Don't be cheap with your items and memories.
