Tiffany, just think of it as when you enter a new area (where the wood is a different color), you're hendiag into a new experience. You'll love carpet-free floors. We've had them for years and even though I love how nice a clean/new carpeted floor looks, I don't miss everything that comes with, sticks on and lives in carpet.
